Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) was born on September 9, 1949, in Pacitan, East Java. His interest in the military began in childhood, inspired by his father, who was a soldier. Raised with strict discipline, he completed high school and continued his studies at the Magelang National Military Academy (AMN). He graduated as the best graduate in 1973. After graduating from AMN, SBY pursued a military career and rose to the rank of four-star General. He also studied abroad, including in the United States. After retiring, he entered politics and served as a Minister under Gus Dur and Megawati. In 2004, he was elected President of Indonesia and led for two terms until 2014.
